Keep in mind that a newborn baby sleeps an average of sixteen hours a day and that the other part of the day they are awake in the crib and even playing when they are older than six months. For this reason, you should choose a crib that is large and comfortable enough for your baby.

If the crib has bars, the bars should be 4.5 to 6.6 cm apart to prevent the baby’s head from being trapped between the bars of the crib. The same is true between the edge of the mattress and the bars.

– The railing. To make it more comfortable to get the baby in and out of the crib, the railing should be lowered and raised a few centimeters. It must be ensured that the railing has a locking system.

Whether the baby sleeps in his own crib or we continue to co-sleep, the time will come when he will have to sleep in his own bed. This is one of the most important transitions in our children’s lives.

It is a question that generates many doubts among parents. Sometimes we move our children from the crib to the bed and do not take into account their needs or their own rhythm. We tend to leave it to chance and make the change when we consider that our child has been sleeping in the crib for a long time.

There is no exact age at which our child should make the switch from crib to bed. It depends on the rhythm of each child.
